Kimberly A. Bailey

Kimberly A. Bailey is the author of the transformational book, Chosen By One: God is the Chooser. I am the Chosen, and captivating fiction novel, Simone Harley: Secret Afflictions.

Kimberly serves regularly with her local church and enjoys encouraging others through multiple forms of writing such as devotionals, sermon notes, books, promotional materials, transcriptions, broadcast video descriptions, and prison letters. She has also contributed content for freelance writers and online women’s magazines. In 2016, she was a featured author on the Guyanese Girls Rock community platform.

Kimberly believes in the importance of every woman knowing and receiving that they are loved and chosen by God for a special purpose and plan. She created Chosen By One Ministries, which focuses on helping all cultures of women to discover their God-created identity, transform to God’s way of thinking and succeed in their God-given purpose.

Kimberly was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Nigerian and Guyanese immigrants. Her military upbringing allowed her to live in multiple states in the Northeast before residing in Pensacola, Florida. In middle school, her English teacher selected her as the best writer in the class following a creative story assignment. After much support and guidance from her teacher, Kimberly discovered she had a gift and developed an increasing interest in writing. As a teenager, she began writing poetry, short stories and creating acting sketches for her drama classes. Following graduation, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Legal Administration from the University of West Florida and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Clark Atlanta University.

For over a decade, Kimberly has learned what it really takes to become a professional writer in various areas such as discipline, creativity, organization, editing and proofreading, building confidence, marketing, contracts, and much more. To help and empower new writers across the world to learn about her successes and mistakes she has overcome, she created Chosen By One Media, LLC. The company’s vision is to encourage new writers to discover the power of their written words, create innovative content, and transform the lens of every mind through multimedia platforms worldwide.
