Dr David R Warriner is a Consultant Cardiologist sub-specialising in imaging (CT and Echo) and ACHD. He is current training programme director for cardiology training in South Yorkshire and sits on the BCS council as non-surgical centre representative. He has now authored 4 books, 2 of which have been translated into French and Mandarin.
Dr Warriner's clinical and research interests include DAMA, endocarditis, cardio-geriatrics and medical education among others.
In his free time, Dr Warriner loves reading an eclectic mix of authors such as Jose Saramago, Will Self, Oscar Wilde and Raymond Chandler, but also medical books by authors such as Oliver Sacks, Margaret McCartney, Atul Gawande and Samuel Shem.
Dr Warriner also enjoys writing letters, personal views, reviews and scientific articles on medicine for a range of journals, including PMJ, BMJ and BJHM, among others.
