Denise M. Cherry

Denise M. Cherry, born in 1955, is a licensed certified teacher of both general and Special Education. Her recent publication, "Segregation and Integration" is a children's memoir that gives a personal account of her life in the South during the Civil Rights Movement in the segregated-integrated South. Author of an educational book called "The Watering Hole: How and Why We Should Help Our Children to Love Learning" is awaiting publication. She retired from Montgomery County Public Schools in 2010. Ms. Cherry presently teaches students online with a national online education company, and works in the District of Columbia Public Schools as a Special Educator. Ms. Cherry offers an open forum for discussion of current educational topics on her weekly broadcast radio show, "School Talk Radio" @ Blogtalk.radio.com. Amazon has offered her first publication in e-book format for Kindle readers. “Segregation and Integration” will be available at book signings. Her publication has received a catalogued number in the Library of Congress.
