It was inevitable Julie Castro would write and publish a book. Her mom wrote and self-published two travel guidebooks, while her dad founded, edited, and published Contact! Magazine. Julie assisted both her parents with editing, transcription, and even the fun of eating Mexican food while researching her mother's book, Tucson's Mexican Restaurants. Grant writing also became a talent, as she was awarded several grants while she serving as director of a completely grant-funded community outreach program.
Julie's writing skills continued to develop as she was responsible for all workforce related proposals and documents for several of the Governor's advisory councils and commissions. An article she wrote for the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), It's All in the Asking, was published in the March/April 2013 magazine.
Having a personal relationship with Jesus for 29 years, Julie has lived her life according to His will, leading her to new cities, jobs, churches, and the understanding of walking heaven on earth. She finds living in the Lord an adventure and never knows where she will be led to go or who she will encounter each day. She currently resides in Phoenix with her son's cat, Saki.
