Jay Vaananen is a former private banker turned financial writer. He is the founder of the Banker's Umbrella, the world's most popular blog on private banking. Jay is the author of Dark Pools and High Frequency Trading for Dummies and a contributing writer to the International Business Times, Management Today and Professional Adviser. He is a popular presence on social media, particularly on Twitter, where he has been described by This Is Money Magazine as a "Twitter phenomenon". In his spare time Jay tries to relive his youth and fight off the onslaught of middle-age by being an active boxer.
