Margaret R. Roller, M.A. has been a research professional for 40 years. She is currently in private practice (www.rollerresearch.com) where she works with some of the largest U.S. and global commercial and non-profit organizations to find qualitative and quantitative research solutions that result in actionable new insights. Prior to establishing her consulting firm, she served as research manager for AT&T, the Los Angeles Times, and Prentice Hall publishing. Ms. Roller has personally designed and conducted thousands of qualitative studies involving a wide assortment of qualitative research methods. Throughout her career she has presented and published numerous papers and articles on qualitative research design. Her blog - Research Design Review - has been widely read since its inception in 2009 and is a popular resource in the research and academic community. Ms. Roller has worked with firms in Azerbaijan, Croatia, and Romania to develop their research capabilities. She earned her B.A. in psychology from California State University-East Bay and received her graduate degree in psychology (with a focus on research design) from the New School for Social Research, Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science.
