Michael Kearney

Michael Kearney is an Associate Professor of Literary/Critical Theory in The School of Architecture at Kogakuin University, Tokyo. His interests are Literature, Philosophy, Art, Music, Psychology, Sociology, and History. He works at examining cultural constructions and how they function in forming and governing the conditions within which humans exist. He is the originator of the Identity Matrix Model - a theoretical proposition which addresses how external cultural forces are internalized by individuals, from birth to death, forming an amalgamation of cultural constructions from which an individual's identity is formed. He is interested in works, across all mediums, that explore realities: that delve into the space between the Real, that which exists prior to any form of interpretation, realities, formed through interpretation, the metaphysical, and the pataphysical.
