Owen Bennett is a journalist and a critically acclaimed author.
After starting out in local newspapers, he joined the Daily Express in 2013, becoming a Parliamentary Lobby Correspondent in 2014. Owen has also worked for City AM, the Daily Mirror and the Telegraph, and has been a regular contributor to Sky News and the BBC.
His first book, 'Following Farage: On The Trail Of The People's Army' is a gonzo-style account of his reporting of Ukip and its charismatic leader as he tried to win a seat in Parliament in the 2015 General Election. Following Farage was named one of the political books of the year by the Guardian and the Independent.
His second book, 'The Brexit Club: The Inside Story of The Leave Campaign's Shock Victory' was published in 2016, and was described as "a riveting inside account" of the referendum by The Observer
His third book is 'Michael Gove: A Man In A Hurry' - an unauthorised biography of one of the most controversial politicians of his generation. It caused waves across Westminster when it was released in the summer of 2019, with the Daily Mail dubbing it "explosive".
