After graduating at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft, he started working at the European Space Agency (ESA) with the focus on interplanetary trajectory optimization and leading more than 50 conceptual designs for future ESA missions.
He now focuses on cleaning up space, as he leads Active Debris Removal studies such as the e.deorbit mission.
In his spare time he can be found driving his race car on the Nürburgring or Spa-Francorchamps, diving in Spain, snowboarding and hiking mountains or traveling to remote locations in the world.
