Sandy Lee lives in Sonora, California with her husband of 40+ years.
She started writing in January of 2013, a few years after her 36 year old son, mysteriously disappeared. The events that occurred while she and her family searched for him were so unbelievable, Sandy Lee just couldn't keep them to herself any longer. "No Unturned Stone" - A Mother's Quest is the result of that incredible journey. Part of the proceeds of every copy personally sold, goes toward a yearly scholarship at a local high school for students studying criminal justice or forensic science.
Writing another book was something this author didn't plan at first. However, a conversation with another children's author sparked a new desire. A book that will capture your heart is “Hermie the Bug”, Sandy's first children's book. A cute, delightful way, teaching children to respect all living creatures. A Missing Children's organization will be helped from part of the proceeds of this book.
After writing poetry for years, another book eventually surfaced. "Life, Love, & Loss" - A collection of poems that will touch your heart.
And after losing her mom to Alzheimer's in 2015, Sandy decided to write another children's book. "Remembering Grandma" - A child's memory of Alzheimer's, is told from the perspective of her youngest son and his experience with his grandma. It touches lightly on the subject of Alzheimer's. Sandy hopes this book will help children understand a little more about Alzheimer's, and to realize that there are other families also affected by this horrible disease.
“My Heart Remembers” is her latest book. It is a vignette journal, capturing a six year span of precious moments this author had with her mom.
You will see a big part of Sandy's heart in each and every book.
