Jane Lavoie Kirk (1953- ) fell in love with books and reading at an early age (she preferred books to stuffed animals at nap-time). As a young girl she dreamed of becoming like Jo March from the 'Little Women' books by Louisa May Alcott, moved her bedroom to the attic and started writing. Many years later, after retiring from a career in the insurance industry she realized her dream of becoming an author. Her first published book, written with her husband Randy Kirk, is 'Retired Broke - How to Fix Your Retirement'. She is currently working on a mystery.
