At The Lazy Student’s Guide we believe in getting to the point. You’re here because you’ve got a problem and you want to find the answer quickly and easily without having to read through a 400 page textbook to find the only useful information in it hidden somewhere at the back.

“I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.” – Bill Gates

The content we produce will always be short and focussed around a single topic. We want you to find your solution quickly and easily so you can get on with the rest of your day:

* Our books will always be less than 100 pages

* Our articles will always be less than 1000 words long

* Our podcasts and videos will always be less than ten minutes

We do things the lazy way, because we believe it’s the right way. And as you can see from the quote above, the richest person in the world agrees with us, so we think we might be on to something.

Who Am I?

I’m David Chapman, the face behind The Lazy Student’s Guide. I’m an author and Computer Science teacher from the UK and I created The Lazy Student’s Guide to give my students a place to find out about the things that schools and universities sometimes forget to mention. Over the coming months you can expect to see books, articles, videos and podcasts about topics ranging from revision techniques and exam success to how to apply for university and surviving once you get there.

Who will benefit?

* Lazy students – you’ll be able to find the information you’re looking for quickly and easily

* Other students – you can always read through each book two or three times so you feel like you’re working hard enough

* Teachers and lecturers – this site is full of information your students need to know in small enough chunks that they might actually read some of it

* Parents – you’ve known for years that your son or daughter is lazy, but thanks to this website, that’s now a good thing

What next?

New articles are being added to website all the time and we’re planning to release a new short, focussed book on topics you need to know about every 4-6 weeks throughout 2015. Keep an eye out over the coming months for audio and video content too. We’d recommend you visit the website at least a couple of times a week to keep up to date with everything. Except that doesn’t sound like something a lazy student would do, so your best bet is probably to sign up for our newsletter (which you can find on the website) and we’ll group all of the important stuff together and email it to you every couple of weeks.
