Tequila Brooks

Tequila Brooks (1969-) was born near Taos, New Mexico and grew up in Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico. A graduate of the Great Books Program at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, she obtained her J.D. and M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico and has studied international and comparative law in Mexico, Paris, Oxford, Brussels, Geneva and the Netherlands, obtaining advanced law degrees from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC and Tilburg University Law School in Tilburg, Netherlands. For twenty years she has been a scholar exploring the linkage between worker's human rights and regional legal systems. She served as Labor Law Advisor with the North American Commission for Labor Cooperation (1999-2004) and has had a varied legal career that includes working as a solo practitioner representing injured workers in New Mexico and as an e-discovery specialist on corporate compliance investigations.
