B.J. Lee

B.J. Lee is a former music librarian at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee turned full-time children's author and poet. Originally from the Northeast, she now makes her home in Florida with her husband, poet Malcolm Deeley and toy poodle, Bijoux. She writes picture books, poetry and is hard at work on a YA verse novel. Currently mentored by Lee Bennett Hopkins, when she first started writing in 1991, the late Jane Langton was her mentor.
