Dave Dormer

Dave Dormer lives and writes in North-Western Ontario alongside his wonderful (and patient) wife and four children. His love of horror began at an early age causing him to spend many classes devoting his divided attention from the regular curriculum to write gruesome tales. He distinctly remembers and is thankful for his seventh-grade teacher who displayed an uncommon tolerance for his interest in writing by reading his stories aloud to his class.

Today, he still favours horror fantasy and his goal, to be able to connect with the reader in an imaginative, horrifying, and emotional way that will leave the reader wishing the story wasn’t over. He regularly practices writing short stories, trying to create exciting and climactic tales that fall within a 5000-word count. He finds It sometimes difficult to preserve these guidelines without sacrificing colour and detail, but with practice, careful revision will cure this. With continuing emphasis on grammar, sentence structure (sentence fragments haunt him), and diction, He hopes to entertain readers with unique tales.
