Gary Ettari

Gary Ettari is a writer and teacher and considers himself lucky to be both. Initially trained as a poet, he has published work in Gray’s Sporting Journal, Poetry Northwest and the North Carolina Literary Review among others. Raised on the East Coast, he migrated west for college and, like many before him, fell in love with the Great Basin, where most of his works are set.

An avid fisherman, he is also interested in music, growing roses and anything having to do with the Elizabethan dramatist Christopher Marlowe. He is currently Associate Professor of Literature and Language at the University of North Carolina-Asheville and is presently working on both a sequel to his first detective novel and on a romance novel set in Montana.
