Jacob Clifton is a pioneering cultural critic with a long history at Television Without Pity (TWoP) and briefly Gawker, where his sharp and witty voice helped define an era of internet culture. After navigating the creative burnout that came from the high-pressure digital media environment he helped shape, he transformed his approach from snark to a kind of spellcraft. Today, with over 25 years of professional experience, he is an empathetic writing mentor and proprietor of A ROUGH TRADE Writing School. His work champions and documents a sustainable creative practice rooted in self-compassion and "wild magic." He lives in Austin, Texas, with two dogs & a fiancé.
