Stanley George had a successful career in telecomms spanning 33 years, starting as an apprentice telephone engineer and finishing as Head of HR for BT Networks. He then moved on to run a successful HR consultancy business.
On retiring to the south of France he had time to reflect on the humorous adventures along the way and this led to the memoir 'Please Wipe Your Boots'. The mayhem and chaos that was the GPO were encountered again in rural France and this naturally led to his second book 'French Farce'.
Due to the popularity of 'Please Wipe Your Boots' and the demands for a 'Part-2', he published the follow up story, 'The Yarnfield Files'. Here the mayhem and chaos continued at the BT training college at Yarnfield, Stone.
His latest work is a play 'The Spin-Out' which follows the true story of the twists, turns and surprises encountered during a small company take over. This is ready for performance when the current 'lockdown' restrictions allow. Enquiries regarding performance costs can be forwarded to - stanleygeorgeauthor@gmail.com
He hopes you enjoy his books and he looks forward to any comments.
