Tim Shortridge

I write books because I want to help people. If even one person can improve some part of their life because of something they learn in one of my books, then that makes it worth all the effort it takes for me to write it.

I had the good fortune of marrying my best friend in 1975 and we raised two amazing children. I’ve been self-employed since 1992, setting up small business accounting systems and teaching business owners how to use them. Yes, it is as exciting as it sounds. My wife is an accountant also, so you can imagine what a laugh-riot it is at our house.

My profession has provided me with extra free time which I have used to pursue two of my passions: reading and writing.

I have two goals when I write a book. The first is to entertain, and it doesn’t matter if I’m writing fiction or non-fiction. Who wants to read a book that isn’t entertaining? My second goal is to educate. If I can impart even a small bit of information that might help you, then I’ve done my job. I want my books to both entertain and educate because these are the kinds of books I enjoy reading.
