Rosalind J. Lee

After I had operations on my eyes so that I could see - I was registered blind before.

I was able to read and write which was my wish, and wrote books as a child author. I was given the opportunity to live with a publisher at one time in Northern Ireland. I met many writers and poets as a child, even getting a chance to meet Walter De La Mare in his own home one birthday. Grandfather had to search out where he lived. Walter was a lovely shy person, very much like me.

Following a serious accident and surgery - I lost the inclination to write. I had amnesia. As my 'relatives' got older it was arranged for me as an orphan to be looked after child tended to by a military family.

I started to hone my skills in writing about ten years ago - and although I might not have reached what I once achieved so easily I feel that its enjoyable and rewarding.

I urge others to try it.
