Ivan Kyrchei was born in 1964 in Lviv region, Ukraine. He received his
Ph.D. (Candidate of Science) degree in 2008 from Taras Shevchenko National
University of Kyiv. Now he is working as a Researcher Fellow of Pidstryhach
Institute for Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics of National
Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He was awarded the title of Senior Research
Fellow (Algebra and The Theory of Numbers), equivalent to Associate Pro-
fessor, from Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. He is an editor
for the journal "Advances in Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory" and an
editor's book. His research interests are mostly in Algebra, Linear Algebra
and its applications. He introduced and developed a theory of new matrix
functionals: row, column and double determinants of square matrices over
the quaternion skew eld. Within the framework of this theory he obtained
determinantal representations of the inverse and generalized inverse matrices
(Moore-Penrose, Drazin, group inverse, etc.) by analogs of classical adjoint
and analogs of Cramer's rule generalized inverse solutions of some matrix
equations, etc. These results are also important in the transition to the com-
plex matrix algebra. He has published in well-known professional journals
and the editor's books.
