Amelia Roberson

Roberson was born in Upstate New York in 1959, but lived her teen years in Chicago. Currently, she lives in Roanoke, Virginia, where she earned a Master's in Teaching and a Master's in Fine Art from Hollins University. She has been writing for over twenty years with an emphasis on the "quirky" and "unexpected" situations that are "true life." Much of her writing, poetry and short stories, weaves melancholy and humor; regret and aspiration. She writes about the "ordinary" in such a way that it proves to be extraordinary. She is influenced by real people in real situations, and nary a story is without a four-legged character.
