Carlos Dimeo

Theater director, actor, and essayist, as well as a research and teaching fellow working with universities in Poland and abroad. His work focuses on the processes and various forms of theater art. He is the author of numerous monographs on Latin American theater and contemporary stage practices. In 2015, he received his doctoral degree from the University of Lodz based on a monograph entitled Marco Antonio Ettedgui: Poéticas teatrales pos(t)modernas (Dialogismo y polifonía, Sacralización y Carnavalización). Founder of La Campana Sumergida publishing house and Dramateatro digital magazine. Member of the Advisory Committee of the Institute of Performing Arts of the University of Buenos Aires. He has given several seminars and guest lectures on theater in its broadest sense at the Central University of Venezuela, the University of Strasbourg, the University of Valladolid, and the University of Tartu, among others. He is currently affiliated with the Bielsko-Biała University of Technology and Humanities, working on two new publications: Teatros Invisibles and Algunos Animales Feroces en el Teatro Venezolano.
