Kathleen has been sewing for many years and quilting since 1980. In that time, she's lived and traveled all across the United States.
She became a pattern designer in 2003 and began designing for her cherished business, Mountain Patchwork. While she loves all kinds of quilting, Kathleen is especially passionate about taking some sewing along at all times, having found that a few idle minutes here and there can really make a difference in completing a project. She loves designing patterns that can be constructed with Double Stitch.
Kathleen and her husband love to camp, travel, and go on Sunday drives in the mountains. Living in western Montana gives them endless mountain roads to travel and explore, and when they're extremely lucky, they find a new huckleberry patch! She is the grandmother of two wonderful kids, and found nothing more thrilling than the day her granddaughter asked, "Will you teach me to sew?" The answer was, "Of course!"
