Scott Silknitter is the founder of Caregiving 101. Scott’s passion for helping caregivers stems two areas of personal experience.

1. His families struggle in caring for his father who battled Parkinson’s disease and dementia for over 25 years.

2. His own successful battle with Stage 4 cancer.

He has been on both sides of the caregiver struggle and understands the issues and emotions families and their loved one’s face. Those struggles became the foundation of the Caregiving 101 education programs started in 2010.

• Co-author over 15 caregiving covering dementia care, general caregiving, home safety, and fall prevention.

• Creator of three series of elder activity books used in long-term care settings and family homes.

• Creator of multiple educational courses used by home care and long-term care companies throughout North America.

• Patent holding, product designer of adaptive products to help seniors and those with special needs.

Caregiving is such a challenge, as long as there is a need, Scott will continue to help families with new books and products to help improve quality of life.
