Captain Rob Johnson

Rob Johnson is the creator of Let’s Go See, a fast-growing children’s brand dedicated to entertaining, educating and inspiring young minds around the world.

What began as a series of stories written for his own children has evolved into a rich, multi-platform experience – including animated adventures, original music, and beautifully illustrated books that bring the world to life for curious learners. The books and animations have been approved by Dr Amanda Gummer at the Good Play Guide, and with stories linked to the early years curriculum, they are loved by teachers, parents and children alike.

Today, Let’s Go See continues to expand its reach through a dedicated schools outreach programme, having already gifted more than twenty thousand pounds’ worth of books to spark imagination and learning in classrooms.

Rob’s passion for storytelling is rooted in a lifelong love of exploration. At just eighteen, he earned his private pilot’s licence, setting the course for a remarkable career in aviation. Starting as an engineering apprentice, he qualified as an aircraft engineer before training as a commercial airline pilot. Over the years, Rob has flown across Europe and around the globe, eventually becoming a Captain and later a Training Captain.

These global experiences – the places he visited, the people he met, the cultures he encountered, and the stories he brought home — inspired him to create the original Pilot Ollie and Pilot Polly books. Today, that same spirit of curiosity and discovery remains at the heart of Let’s Go See, helping children everywhere explore the world from wherever they are.
