Gabby Baba

Gabby Baba grew up in a Middle Eastern family in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. After re-claiming her sexuality in a traditional culture, Gabby used writing as a tool to express her self-identity with the two things that defined her the most, but struggled to co-exist: her Palestinian roots and her queerness. By embracing her sexuality and love for her culture, Baba shows us the battles we will fight for acceptance without sacrificing any piece of our hearts.

Gabby Baba received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston and a M.S. in Forensic Psychology from Walden University. She is the author of poetry collections "Even If I'm Not Here” and "Naked Orange. "Even If I'm Not Here" was featured at the national BookExpo America (BEA) in Chicago in 2017.

Gabby currently lives in Houston and is studying her PhD in Forensic Psychology. Her third poetry collection “Homesick” will be released in the summer of 2023.
