I'm a retired teacher who had loads of ideas but was always too busy to write them down. Now I'm retired I'm even busier! I have three kids and 15 grandchildren (soon). I enjoy gardening and golf as well as singing with Hull Male Voice Choir. I now call myself a writer.

My first book "Braver Than All The Rest" is a novel that draws on my experiences in Special Needs education whilst my second "An Accident Waiting To Happen" is an autobiography of an ordinary bloke who has led a very unorthodox life. I suffer from a condition known as Ehlers Danlos syndrome which was not diagnosed untiI I was nineteen. As a result I have suffered a multitude of injuries including a number of cuts requiring a total of 180 stitches, many inserted without any form of anaesthetic. I have also broken my femur and my scaphoid bones and ruptured ligaments in my left knee.

My latest book "The Hunters" deals with the issue of safari hunting. It was prompted initially by my seeing a photograph of a dead lion on Facebook. It was surrounded by some hunters celebrating the kill and I thought "Somebody ought to shoot them." I then thought " I wonder how many other people think the same way. Hence the book!
