I began "writing" long before I could actually read. I still have a few of the books that I "personalized" as a child. Although plain paper and so-called coloring books were offered, I knew instinctively that there was more power in the books that I "edited." I have written essays, poems, sermons, speeches, short stories, and novels. My main career though has been in academia until very recently. In particular, with degrees in psychology and an interest in computers, I helped found a field called "Human Computer Interaction" which I am still very much involved with. Having retired from full time work at IBM Research, however, I can devote more time to writing non-fiction and fiction. My first two non-fiction books are conceived to help my over-worked colleagues reach a better balance between the physical and mental. The first, "The Winning Weekend Warrior" is available at Amazon Kindle now. I am now writing the second which gives hints about how to stay in shape despite the insane schedules that academics now feel forced to follow. Feedback is always welcome!
