Alex Brown was born in Syracuse, New York. He is one of six children. Since his youth, Alex was passionate about music and writing. He learned to play the clarinet in grade school, and began playing guitar in his teens. Early on, he was inspired by singer-songwriters of the sixties and seventies. Alex soon began writing his own music, performing in coffee houses and on the streets of downtown Syracuse. After a successful gig opening for Steve Goodman at Le Moyne College, he decided to head west.
In California, he found the love of his life and continued to pursue his dreams. He played gigs in Hollywood at the infamous Troubadour, and previewed his songs at weekly showcases. In 2012, Alex released an EP titled Four Seasons One God. He followed with a CD in 2015, titled Show Some Love. His latest CD titled Show Me the Way was released in 2016. Throughout high school and college, his teachers encouraged Alex to become a writer. Waterfalls and Bridges is Alex's first book. He now lives in California with his wife of thirty eight years, Susan. They have two married adult children.
