Direct, honest, charming, humorous, and clever; these are some words T.R. Simms would use to describe herself. Blunt, tolerable, and sometimes funny are words most people would use instead.
Nonetheless, T.R. Simms was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And with any country upbringing, she dedicated herself to finding anything to do... anything, at all, to do.
In her quest to cure her boredom, she began writing short stories and plays. In high school, a classmate introduced her to comics and graphic novels. She counts DC’s “The Killing Joke” and “Hellblazer” as her favorites along with her own comics “Away Boy” and “Hel: The Lost Gospel” (available on Amazon).
In 2016, she decided to try adulting and write a novel. When that didn't work out, she tried a novella and success! After witnessing her friends, family, co-workers, and the rest of the country's reaction to the presidential election, she wrote "The Last Romanian". It's a reflection on American patriotism, identity, and the complexity of interpersonal relationships in today's disjointed state of affairs.
