Amy Bashor

Welcome! I’m Amy Bashor - storyteller, travel writer, and founder of both Standing Tall Books and Standing Pines Campground in South Carolina. My adventures with my own family inspired my early travel books A Year of Disney, Camping Disney: The Field Guide to Fort Wilderness, and Building Awesome Vacation: The LEGOLAND Story. This love of storytelling and family travel became the basis for Standing Pines Campground as well as the “Forest Friends Adventures” series for young readers.

Whether I’m writing about world class family travel destinations or welcoming guests to Standing Pines, my goal is the same: to help families discover joy, adventure, and lasting memories together.

The stories and lessons from my books come alive at our campground, where every guest is invited to relax, explore, and feel right at home. I publish independently to keep every project personal, heartfelt, and true to my vision.
