Andy Kutler is an author and lifelong student of World War II history whose writing explores the people, choices, and consequences behind extraordinary moments in the past.

A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Andy has called Northern Virginia home for more than three decades. His professional career has spanned government, public policy, and strategic communications, but writing has long provided him the opportunity to pursue another passion: telling stories that bring history to life.

His fascination with World War II began at an early age and has only deepened over the years. He is particularly drawn to the experiences of ordinary people confronted by extraordinary circumstances, and to the courage, sacrifice, and moral complexity that defined the era.

Through both fiction and nonfiction, Andy seeks to tell compelling stories while helping preserve the history and lessons of a generation whose experiences should never be forgotten.
