Catherine Hebenstreit

Catherine was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She studied art at the University of New Mexico before embarking on her unorthodox education as a world traveler, student of tribal culture and mysticism.

She has traveled to Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, China, India, Bali, Papua New Guinea, and many states in Brazil including Amazonas.

In addition to her study of tribal spirituality and Shamanism, Catherine’s spiritual explorations have included years studying Catholicism, Hinduism, Sikh Dharma, Sufism, Buddhism, and the Uniáo do Vegetal.

Catherine is certified in two professional fields including:

- Certification from the Association Montessori Internationale in 1969 to teach Montessori pre-school. She taught until 1973 in a Montessori elementary school, The Montessori Academy, in Redwood, Washington.

- Certification in 1984 in Neuro Linguistic Programing (NLP) and Ericksonian Hypnosis from the co-creators of NLP, John Grinder and Judith DeLozier. From 1985 through1990 she had a counseling practice using NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis.

In 1979 she returned with her two young sons to New Mexico where she worked at KGGM Television. From 1981 to 1983 she produced the television variety show High Country, hosted the interview talk show You’re On the Air, and edited the movie 13 Broadcast Plaza.

In 1991 Catherine moved to Santa Fe, NM. Today she continues to write and is a life coach, assisting people on their emotional and spiritual journeys.
