Craig DeRoche is married to Stacey DeRoche. They have three young daughters and reside in Novi, Michigan.
Craig is the Executive Director of Justice Fellowship, the advocacy arm of Prison Fellowship in Washington DC. The mission of this work is to restore those affected by crime and incarceration. Craig and the Justice Fellowship team advocate for restorative justice values in the American criminal justice system at the federal, state and local level.
Craig was formerly a city councilman, state legislator and speaker of the House in Michigan (in 2005-2006). After he left office, he was forced to face his lifelong addictions and built his life up from one of brokenness to success through using his experience to help others.
Craig's first book, Highly Functional, is a memoir of the period in his life transitioning from addiction to recovery.
At home Craig still enjoys his time on Michigan lakes and has recently endeavored to learn kite boarding. The entire family is active in skiing, camping and travelling together throughout the year.
