Jill was reared in the historic Pontchartrain Park subdivision of New Orleans, LA where she grew up singing and playing her flute in the church choir.
She always had a passion for writing, journaling, to be specific, and an even greater penchant for the workings of the human mind. She eventually put the two together, and began writing fiction, by the way of short stories. It wasn't until much later that she found her way to creating this series, the Morgan Jane Winters Murder Mysteries. It is with God's grace, that she has taken what she's learned over the years as a student of life and created a uniquely fun and exciting way to explore psychological realities - through a murder mystery series.
Jill received her bachelors degree in Sociology and worked as a researcher for over twenty years for Tulane, Louisiana State University(LSU), and Ochsner.
