Writing has always been an interest. It really comes out of my curiosity. Whatever happened to the people that built the magnificent ruins we find all over this planet? Where are these folks? Why did they disappear? What if you might meet, discover, or uncover the mystery?
The stories of trying to get published were always discouraging. I kept working [s], but writing when I had the time, and having all the fun of creating a world of my own. If I couldn't get to sleep because my mind kept jumping around the "to do's list", I'd quiet down by going to my own world. One thing about writing is that the world behaves just as you want it to behave. The writing was mine, and I didn't share it.
However, a good friend asked very nicely to be allowed to read one, and liked the story. They suggested I try publishing. But it wasn't until a second friend, informed by the first, asked to read, and also suggested publishing that I that I looked into the idea. I must say that there are so many options out there now, that I was surprised.
Publishing means editing. And so... I put down the writing and started that. Eventually, this book emerged.
What I want a reader to discover is the fun of thinking of themselves in the same or similar situations as presented in the story. Enjoy imagining what you might do, considering the changes you might have to make or dreaming up a new outcome. What if you go back in time? Where might you begin? The idea is to have fun.
