Joseph E. Nolan has taught Research Methods for 18 years and supervised Doctoral students at 6 universities. He is often looked upon to consult when students are having problems finishing their dissertations. A first generation college graduate and non traditional student himself, he knows about the obstacles that students face and how to overcome them.
When not teaching, he spends his time in Canada, Michigan, and Texas, where he was once asked if he was a medical doctor or a “smart doctor”
