My writing is often compared with Dan Brown and Clive Cussler, but with feminine appeal. Essentially I write fast-paced romantic thrillers that are sometimes edgy but always gripping.
This female-led, five book, romantic thriller series is high-concept, mixes genres, has supernatural nuances and challenges accepted parameters of time. My reader demographic is split evenly amongs men and women.
‘Forsaken’ introduces Ava Kaplinski, my Villanelle, and the key protagonist. After meeting Demitri, Ava, an innocent Russian prima ballerina, is abducted, radicalised and turned spy-assassin. A dangerous love triangle develops when she meets her rival, Major General Kayla Lovell. The intricate plot spans the glamour of the Bolshoi in Russia, the terrorist camps of Pakistan, a terrorist attack with a nuclear device in Syria, and the discovery of the fifth dimension by scientists of the past, with the potential to bring about Armageddon.
‘Scorned’ follows, taking the reader on a rollercoaster ride through the trials and tribulations of the medieval Mèdici family as they fight for survival against the Illuminati and its Satanic Orders. Gina Mèdici, head of the Mèdici financial empire and mother of Sasha and Isabella, is dealt an impossible hand of Tarot cards that predicts the death and destruction of her family, the onset of World War Three, and a deeply passionate love affair that spans the plot.
Gina's quest is to discover the supernatural powers of her birth right and alter the sequence of events to prevent Armageddon, but she is just a business woman and mother, or at least that’s what they all thought…
‘The Assassin’ finds Ava Kaplinski in trouble again. This time she is targeted by the Illuminati’s Satanic Orders to capture her and release the immense psychokinetic force inside her in an act of human sacrifice to evoke the return of Satan. After months of disturbing nightmares involving Devil worshipers led by a cloaked man and sacrifice, Ava seeks the mystic powers of her friend’s African housekeeper. A Tarot reading foresees the rise of a new kind of Satanism and the world slipping under the rule of Satan, along with the death and destruction of Ava’s race, family and friends.
She embarks on a mission to find the man in her dreams, the Reverend, a corrupt and predatory Hollywood Mogul, feeding off the excesses of the film and music industry. Ava has to find him before the world slips into his hands.
‘Angels & Shadows’, originally the first book in the series but now the prequel, sets out the supernatural possibility for the romantic spy-thrillers that follows. The novel defies time as villains of the past manipulate the present to impose their version of the future. A desperate struggle for survival ensues for Elizabeth and Ben, unknowing siblings of the empowered Angel bloodline. Orphaned by the deadly Shadow organisation early in the story, Elizabeth and Ben get caught up in a seemingly impossible quest against the Shadows to change history and avert their personal nightmare. They discover their inborn Angel skills, learning to manipulate time in an attempt to prevent the murder of their parents and loved ones by the Shadows on their own quest to of genocide against the Angels.
I have made a single diversion into children’s fiction with ‘Eden and the Key of Destiny’, written for my granddaughter. This is a magical adventure for middle-grade (8-14 years). As the story unfolds orphaned Princess Eden, imprisoned in an orphanage in Battersea, finds out about her history from a strange little man called ‘Muffins’. He sets her out on a quest to find the magic within her and change her destiny and free her parents from the tyranny of the ‘Murks’ in a land far away.
More about me:
I am romantically inclined, educated through Grammar Schools, Polytechnics, University and – life; a reluctant, Civil Engineer who broke free to look at the world. The 20 year diversion resulted in successful water sport businesses and distributions of Australian surfwear in Cyprus and Portugal, across two decades.
I am currently back in the UK managing risk in the nuclear industry for 10 decommissioning power stations and writing! Husband to one, father of two, and grandfather to three... (Time flies!)
Loves are: my motorbike, fast cars, the open road, catamaran sailing, windsurfing and snowboarding. But nothing is nicer than good company, good food and good wine and more recently, writing!
