Adam Alvarez

Adam Alvarez is the Principal of InsuranceLinked, a consultancy that works with the insurance-linked fund industry. Clients have included the Guy Carpenter, McKinsey and Nephila. His articles on the market have been syndicated by organisations such as Bloomberg, SNL and the magazine of the Australian Actuaries Institute.

Adam has been involved with insurance linked securities since 2002 when he worked as a consultant at RMS designing the triggers for early parametric deals. He moved to Bermuda in 2005, where he helped to establish a new reinsurance platform within the Hiscox Group. During almost eight years at Hiscox, Adam managed the firm’s ILS portfolio and a variety of other business lines. He has been based in London since 2016.

Adam has a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, an MBA from INSEAD in France.
