I am pharmacy graduate (1987) from University of Delhi followed by Diploma in Management of Technology Transfer, Patents and Information Systems. Have wide ranging experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked in a pharmaceutical engineering company where the job responsibilities included overseeing the planning of plant layouts and supervision of installation of machines, followed by working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility as Manager-Projects and Exports. I was instrumental in purchasing and upgrading an existing pharmaceutical facility for this company to comply with cGMP standards and in getting foreign collaboration agreements (licensing new chemical entities, NCEs, into India) with leading multinational corporations in France, Ireland, USA besides 4-5 exclusive agreements with the government of erstwhile Soviet Union. I have travelled extensively and visited/audited the manufacturing plants of many companies.

I later set up my own pharmaceutical engineering company providing technical audit services and engineering consultancy to pharmaceutical companies. This included all dosage forms like Tablets, Capsules, Dry Syrups, Liquid Orals, Ointments and Injectables. The Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India also appointed me as approved consultant for preparing technology status reports for the pharmaceutical sector in India. Based on such reports the government of India makes various industry policies from time to time. I am a member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA), Indian Hospital Pharmacists Association (IHPA), International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and International Federation of Pharmaceuticals (FIP). Inducted in Who's Who in the field of Science and Engineering. I am a third generation pharmacist in the family, love to travel and live in New Delhi.
