Kathy Lindsey

Kathy was born in San Diego, California. She grew up in Sheldon, Il. She wrote for the Kankakee and Watseka newspapers. She has had poetry and plays published in addition to her children's books, "I Don't Want to be a Christmas Tree", "Clouds" and "The Invisible Blue Rabbits". Her latest book, "We Like Short Shorts" is a collection of short stories and recollections. Kathy's short story won first place in the National Studebaker Museum's Halloween Short Story Contest. Her lifetime jobs have included: nurse, teacher's aide, curriculum coordinator, preschool teacher, and director of residential services. She is mother to three sons and four call her"grandma". The four grandchildren are characters in "I Don't Want to be a Christmas Tree". Kathy now lives in Greenfield, Indiana with her husband Don and dogs Rebel and Charlie.
