Willie Alfonso

WILLIE ALFONSO grew up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in America. He was kicked out of the house at age eleven. He lived on the streets of Brooklyn and did drugs until he met Jesus. Willie began working with teenagers in a sports ministry and then became the chaplain to the Brooklyn Nets, the chapel leader for the Staten Island Yankees, and the chapel leader for the Hispanic players of the New York Yankees. He now serves with Adult & Teen Challenge New Jersey. Willie is the author of It’s A New Beginning: How to Turn Your Setbacks Into Comebacks, and It’s A New Beginning Bible Study Guide. He resides in New Jersey with his wife, Nancy. They have three daughters, Venus, Yvette, and Krista, and two grandchildren, Julie and Jonathan, with son-in-law, Miguel Vasquez.
