Jayne Menard

Jayne Menard paints novels in the colors of nature to provide texture and context to situations and characters. Inspiration for her characters and novels is drawn from her life experience and mental meanderings. At times characters walk on stage, demanding an audience. The plots grow out of the characters.

While contemporary fiction, historical novels and romantic suspense capture her attention, she occasionally escapes into worlds of fantasy. English novels are among her favorites, including mysteries focused on characters and settings. Jayne likes to cook, garden, travel and do photography. She has an affinity for historic villages and country lanes.

She has published four books in the Spook Hills series including the newly released, Tilt Shift. Each book is written to be standalone. She has two possible projects in mind as next efforts. One, a fifth novel in the Spook Hills Series, is in a formative state. The other, Riffles, is in rewrite. Riffles is a departure from the series, but it uses similar themes of personal growth in the characters.
