Beginning a full-time writing career in 2011, Jacki Bishop took the advice of "writing what you know."
Her background of working in the justice system influenced her first novel, "Death Sentence," a mystery and legal thriller.
The book takes place in the charming Victorian town of Media, PA, 15 miles west of Philadelphia. This is a place familiar to the author, who has lived in Media, the county seat of Delaware County, for many years.
Her second book, "Sarah's Gone Missing," will be released this summer, and a third is in progress. The trilogy will be part of a Rory Chandler Mysteries series.
Reading, especially mysteries, is one of Jacki's passions, and has been since her acquaintance with Nancy Drew early in her life.
She also enjoys travel, zumba, walking, yoga, and trivia. Not to forget her special buddy, grand-daughter Lilia, with whom she spends as much time as possible.
Jacki has two grown sons, one living nearby, and the other who resides in San Diego.
Her husband Hank has become invaluable as her manager, fact checker, and tech guy.
