Chad V. Holtkamp

Alex P. Keaton was Chad V. Holtkamp’s idol growing up. That probably explains a lot.

He has always balanced two sides: one drawn to business, numbers, and corporate life, the other to writing, music, acting, photography, and whatever creative pursuit seems like a good idea at the time.

Chad has spent more than two decades in corporate recruiting while also building a life as an independent author. His books range from fitness memoirs to "The SPOOK & GOON Space Adventures," short fiction, realistic fiction, and music writing.

He has never been especially interested in staying in one literary lane. Across genres, his work tends to circle back to reinvention, identity, ambition, absurdity, and what happens when the life you imagined collides with the one you actually got.

Born in Davenport, Iowa, Chad lives in Chicago with his wife, a varied collection of Macs and BBQ grills, and a persistent desire to escape to the Caribbean.
