When I'm not working as a filmmaker and photographer, mountain biking, hiking, cooking gourmet vegan meals, you'll find me writing stories, screenplays, novels, and non-fiction.

Occasionally, a flicker of good sense and bravery passes through me. During one such episode I married a gorgeous redhead who likes to do all the things listed above. We have a Golden Retriever named Koda whose stupidity is only outweighed by his infinite cuteness and adorableness.

I was born in 1988 in Loma Linda, California, and every day I feel extremely fortunate to not have to list a date of death in my bio.

Since 1988, my life has progressed in a happy blur that wouldn't interest you in the least until I arrived at college, where I started failing classes right and left. After a year of failure, a professor told me about a study technique that had changed her academic life. I started using it and, almost immediately, I went from failing to the top of my classes and ended up graduating with the President's Award. It was this journey that inspired my first book, The College Success Cheat Sheet: Simple Ideas to Help You Study Less and Learn More.

My life has again reverted to a happy, boring blur. But new writings and grand adventures are in the works, so stay tuned.
