Richie Bast

My name is Richie Patterson Bast. I'm sixty-two years old and a first-time author "Bubble Up," being my first attempt at Young Adult/Adult Fiction. I've been married for over forty years to my high school sweetheart and we have five children and six grandchildren. I was a physician for twenty-five years and practiced as an Anesthesiologist, Emergency Room Physician, and later on as a General Practitioner in rural NE Arizona. I've served as a Team Physician for the local high school football team and never missed a child's game.

I grew up working on a ranch and learned at a very early age the value of hard work. Never much of a cowboy, I gravitated to live theatre and film. As a young man, I made Revolutionary and Civil War movies using an 8mm Bell and Howell camera, and as many of my younger cousins and their friends, as I could.

We presently live in St. Johns, Arizona and are third generation Arizonans.

I've currently finished a second book titled: "Guardians at the Veil," and am redrafting my third, "The Day I Gave Away my Birthdays," which I hope will be out within a very short time. I have hopes for three more, two of which involve elementary and middle school kids. The third, of which already has 4,000 words, is being written in the 2nd person. It will be directed to the adult fiction market.
