Dayne Sislen

I am a children's book illustrator, author and a member of SCBWI. I will always be a child at heart. If I'm not in my studio located in St. Louis Missouri, illustrating or writing a new picture book, you might find me sliding down the slide in the playground or romping in the park with the kids and my puppy Ghillis. All my best inspiration comes through play.

I live and breathe picture books. They are my life and my passion. I illustrate for my own work and also illustrate for other authors. My website: http://daynesislen.com I love to talk to authors about their stories. Children's book writers are some of the most creative people I know.

I just finished illustrating: “Silly Sounding Sentences; ABC Phonics Fun!,” “Chinchilla the Gorilla” for Matt Martin, before that, “Little Monkey in the Paris Zoo” for Priscilla Kurz, “Harry and Larry’s Epic Adventure” by Tracey O”Brien. I also illustrated The “Cow Cocoon” by Rachel Nolen and Maria Price; "The Girl Who Found Christmas: An Advent Calendar Story Book,"written by Barbara Escher; I illustrated Little Dreamer, by Nell Jones; Shark Dentists and Other Stories" Written by Vincent Immordino; I illustrated a picture book about a grandmother with Alzheimer's disease titled: "Gigi and Grandma Remember," written by Maggie Konopa; I illustrated a fun rhyming book: "There's a Mouse on My Head," written by Donna Warwick.

I have also illustrated the inside pages fo the chapter books: "Madeline Delilah: Extraordinarily Ordinary," for author Mariah Richardson, "Don't be a Pig in a Panic!" for author Leila Leidke, "Teen Roach" cover for LaTisha Honor," and “Round" for Shervonne Taylor. There are several other books I have illustrated that have yet to be published.
