I grew up doodling in class and reading comics outside of class.
Though I always knew I loved drawing, I didn’t realize how much I liked telling stories (and that I could combine those two passions) until I went back to school for a while at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. This comic wouldn’t exist if not for my time there.
My latest (and largest) finished project is a graphic memoir titled Gaytheist: Coming Out of My Orthodox Childhood, published by Street Noise Books. It tells the story of my experiences of growing up gay in an Orthodox Jewish community.
Past work includes a travelogue comic called Thoughts From Iceland (self-published via Kickstarter in 2015), and a short 14-page piece in the comic anthology "American Cult" from Silver Sprocket.
